St. John's Lutheran Church conducts Adult Bible Class and Sunday School on a regular basis. Adult Bible Study and Sunday School run from 8:45 – 9:30 am.

Woman to Woman.  Woman to Woman is aired in our area over WZZB 1390 at 7:00 AM and WCSI 1010 at 9:30 AM.  Woman  to Woman is a 30-minute interview program produced by Lutheran Hour Ministries, hosted by Phyllis Wallace.  Her shows cover a wide range of topics.

The LCMS churches of Jackson County "throws" continue to be available.  The 8th grade class is selling "throws" that have pictures of all the LCMS churches in Jackson County. You can order this 48" x 68" throw for $45.00.  Contact Susan Hessong or Holly Sawyer.

Memorials.  Please remember St. John's Sauers Lutheran School when giving memorial gifts, etc.

Ladies Aid is asking for volunteers for cleaning Communion wear and changing altar covers when needed.  There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex.  All help would be appreciated.

Reminder: All treasurers need to submit the year-end reports as soon as possible. Reports should be given to Sharon Reedy or Pastor Muhlbuch so they may be put in the 2011 Annual Report.  Also the 4th quarter reports need to be submitted as well.

The 7th grade class selling geraniums to raise money for their class trip in 2013.  The cost is $3.50.  The colors available are:  Red, White, Pink, Fuschia and Salmon.  Order forms will be available from any 7th grade member: Hunter Bauserman, AJ Boshears, Breonna Bottorff, Cameron Egggersman, Carson Lambring, Spencer Muhlbach, Andrew Murphy, Derek Rieckers, Whitney Rogers, Taylor Schuerman, Chad Stuckwisch, Cody Waskom, Amanda Wright, Jacob Wischmeier, Sy Zickler.  There will be a box in the back of church where orders forms can be dropped off.  Thanks, Class of 2013.

Lenten Season begins on February 22 with Ash Wednesday.  Our Lenten Series this year will focus on several Lenten and Holy Week Hymns.

The Knights of Columbus will be serving Lenten fish dinners at the K of C Hall at 117 East Second Street in Seymour from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. every Friday night from February 24 through April 6.  It is open to the public.

The family of WWII Veteran, Omer Rieckers, will be celebrating his 90th birthday with an open house at St. John’s Sauers Lutheran School, Saturday, February 25, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Neighbors, family and friends are invited.

Jared Thomas Fundraiser.  The family and Trinity Vallonia and Emmanuel, Leesville , are sponsoring a fundraiser to help with Jared's medical expenses. A chili dinner will be held at the LCS Gym on Sunday, March 4 from 11:30-2:30 p.m.

Camp Lakewview will be dedicating the new Main Lodge at Lakeview Villages to the glory of God during a worship service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4.  The guest speaker will be Rev. Plans are nearly completed for St. John's Sauers Lutheran School to hold a fundraising dinner/auction.  This Hawaiian themed dinner and auction, Plans for Paradise, will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Pewter Hall in Brownstown.  If you are interested in sponsorship, there are several levels: Raider $500, Corporate $250, Business $100, Auction - donate an item.   "Plans for Paradise"  April 14, 2012.
